After seeing everyone else's entries, it looked like fun! So I decided to enter spank's contest. Mine looks crappy compared to everyone elses... jeez.

your color looks good! i'm glad you got the ash because A LOT of girls think that if they pick platinum blonde, their hair is gonna turn that color but it doesn't! it always turns orange. about your hair question, i always use the chi iron guard spray. it comes in a little red bottle. i think most salons would have it. it's by farouk (the same ppl that make biosilk). i used to use one by redken. i'm trying to think of the name...i know it's in the smooth down line! it's in a tan/gold bottle. that one works too. your hair sounds a lot like mine! are you experiencing any breakage from using the heat? how often do you straighten your hair? everyday? every other day? if your hair is starting to feel dry, i would suggest straightening it every other day or every two days. your hair should stay straight after one or two days. if it messes up, just restraighten what you need. i don't like to straighten EVERY day, cause i'm scared that my hair will start breaking. i also don't blow dry my hair unless i need to be somewhere! i normally let it towel dry. if i gotta go somewhere, i let it towel dry about 80 percent and then just blow dry the rest. i also never wear conditioner. i always use hair treatments in place of conditioner since i straighten my hair. i love redken's smoothdown butter treat! it really works and smoooths out your hair. i don't use that every day, cause it's thick and creamy. i use that once a week. you could use that twice a week, though. i would just recommend getting either the chi or redken iron guard. it helps the hair straighten, as well as protect it from the heat. i hope that helps!

it sounds like your hair is in pretty good condition. i wouldn't be too worried if i were you. honestly, i've flat ironed my hair for years and never had breakage until now. i highlighted my hair when i went to vegas in may and it dried out my ends. but before that, my hair was pretty healthy! as long as you keep an eye on your hair and use some sort of heat protectant, your hair will be good =)
i love that movie! lol. i think if you try jc penny salon they will carry redken. if not, try sally's beauty supply if you have one near you. they have tons of hair stuff for a cheap price. they won't carry redken but they have their own version of different name brand products.
